BARWEAR CO.GOOD TASTE ONLY.
The hopeful Kickstarter timeline
NEXT STOP:FIRST POUR.
A plan worth working toward.
Room to get it right.
I’m working toward prototype 2 in January 2027, a Kickstarter launch in May 2027, and briefcases in people’s hands before Christmas 2027. Here’s the work between now and then.

01 / The route ahead
ONE STEP
AT A TIME.
Each stage informs the next. If testing or research says something needs more work, the dates may move.
-
01 / Target
Have prototype 2 ready.
The goal is to finish the next prototype, applying what years of using the original have taught me. Lighter weight, greater durability and better details are design goals to work toward — not finished specifications.
-
02 / After the prototype
FIELD
TESTINGPut it to use. Work through the price.
Get prototype 2 into real use, learn what holds up and what still needs refining, and work through what it could cost to make and sell. There isn’t a confirmed price yet.

03 / Before launch
MARKET
RESEARCHListen before taking the next step.
Research what people want from the briefcase and how the proposed product and pricing fit. Use that feedback to shape the Kickstarter plan, rather than rushing straight from prototype to campaign.
-
04 / Hopeful launch
Launch on Kickstarter — if it’s ready.
May 2027 is the month I’m aiming for, subject to the prototype, testing, research and production planning being ready. It is not a confirmed launch date, and there is no live campaign to back yet.
-
05 / Delivery goal
BEFORE
CHRISTMAS
2027Get Barwear into your hands.
My goal is for people to have their briefcases before Christmas 2027. That depends on a successful campaign, manufacturing, quality checks and shipping. It is an ambition, not a guaranteed holiday delivery date.
A clear declaration
This is a provisional plan, not a preorder or a delivery promise. The design, pricing and schedule may change as the work progresses. Any eventual campaign will need its own current production plan, estimated delivery dates and risks.
